Apple Sauce

There’s apple sauce, and then there’s APPLE SAUCE, as in fresh homemade apple sauce made from a local orchard, or your own backyard.

We have an old apple tree and every year we make apple sauce. It’s definitely not just for kids.

Try your own creative variations, but if you’re apples are amazing, the simpler the better.

6 Granny Smith or other tart apples, peeled and cut into cubes
2 Honey Crisp or other sweet apple, peeled and cut into cubes
1/4 cup water
2 tablespoons pure Grade B maple syrup

1 tsp vanilla
Optional: 1 ripe sweet peach
